Our kindergarten introduces the letter sound, writing and fiction and non – fiction book that supports the cognitive develop of children. When promoting Literacy development the Kindergarten small groups are encouraged.
Enabling Environment (L)
The kindergarten is rich with visual aid with the displays of letter sounds, fiction and non – fiction book with print from left to write. A variety of literacy activities are in place which are readily available for children to experiment with.
Learning and Development (L)
Our kindergarten uses the Jolly Phonics which has a variety of activities. These activities provide children with the skills and techniques to decode the alphabet synthetically. Children use the knowledge of the letter sounds to begin blending for reading and spelling
